A local event has people dressing up in period clothing and reenacting famous battles. The 10th annual Civil War Reenactment and Live History at Fiddler’s Green is set for this weekend. The two-day event offers a fun and interactive history lesson of what life was like in Alabama during the Civil War. Fiddler’s Green owner Chris Dempsey says he and his family love to host this event. Dempsey says reenactors come from all over the South to take part of this annual event. It all begins at 10am Saturday morning with Ladies Tea in the front lawn. Vendors will be on hand all day selling items that you might have found in a store during the early 1860s.
