Man Shot with Pellet Gun During Bike Ride

Calhoun County Sheriff Matthew Wade is urging the person suspected of firing shots at cyclists over the weekend, to voluntarily come in for questioning. Thanks for joining us I’m Carl Brady. The incident happened during Sunday's Cheaha Challenge bicycle ride, which brought hundreds of cyclists to Calhoun County. Participant Jeffery Pratt says he felt a pain in his leg while was riding near Highway 9 and Whites Gap Road. Once he crossed the finish line, Pratt realized he had been shot with a pellet gun. Sheriff Wade says Pratt wasn’t the only victim during the event. Sheriff Wade also says they believe the shooter was angry about having to share the roadway. It is a law in the state of Alabama that drivers must share the road with cyclists.
