The Secretary of State visits a local university. Thanks for joining us I’m Carl Brady. Jacksonville State University got a visit from Secretary of State John Merrill. The University invited the Secretary to view their Center for Applied Forensics Department and learn more about the work they are doing. During the visit, we asked Merrill for his thoughts on this important program. The Secretary of State toured the center's labs and observed the work being done at JSU. JSU’s Center for Applied Forensics helps law enforcement agencies throughout East Alabama with criminal cases. Calhoun County Sheriff Matthew Wade, Oxford Police Chief Bill Partridge, and others participated in todays tour.
