Former Army Fort Cemeteries Gates Open

To honor the men and women who sacrificed for our freedom, McClellan is opening the gates to cemeteries located at the former Army fort. The Alabama National Guard Training Center will hold its annual visitation of the seven cemeteries located on Pelham Range this weekend. Gate three will open at 7a.m. and maps will be provided to assist visitors to each cemetery. Sergeant First Class Robert Ray talks about a special event that's scheduled for Saturday morning. A picnic will also be provided to visitors on Saturday at noon at Willet Springs. Everyone is encouraged to participate and share photos and tell stories. The visitation events will end each day at 5pm.
