A special Memorial Day ceremony has many people honoring fallen soldiers. Thanks for joining us I’m Carl Brady. The Anniston Army Depot held their annual Memorial Day Ceremony today. The Depot holds their ceremony on the Thursday before Memorial Day to give the men and women that work there time to spend with their families. People from all over come to the cemetery to honor and remember those who fought for our freedom. We met with Gloria Franks, a woman whose brother is buried at the cemetery, she tells us what this day means to her. During the ceremony Lieutenant Colonel Trent Klung spoke of the gratitude and honor he holds for each fallen soldier. An American flag is placed in front of each headstone during the ceremony.
