Etowah County investigators want to know who is responsible for painting profanity and racial slurs on a couple of buildings over the weekend. Sheriff Entrekin says the vandals targeted the exterior of the Coates Bend Volunteer Fire and Rescue building. The vandals also used the spray paint on a storm shelter and an adjacent building. Volunteer firefighter Bugs Kilgore says they believe kids may be behind the graffiti. Kilgore also tells us that if caught, they don’t want the people behind this to be charged, but they do want them to help wash firetrucks. If anyone has information on this incident please contact the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office.
