Friday, June 9, 2017

The people of Weaver may finally get an answer about an eye-sore of a gas station. An old gas station in the middle of Weaver has many people complaining. The gas station has been out of business for several years. The station is owned by Mapco out of Tennessee. Weaver Mayor Wayne Willis says he has reached out to the company multiple times and is now ready to fight. Willis also says he hates to spend the City’s money taking on Mapco, but he is not unwilling to do what is best for Weaver. Willis says he hopes this will get the attention of someone important and this problem can be handled quickly.
