Close Call at Jacksonville City Pool

Quick thinking by trained lifeguards may have saved a boy’s life during an incident today at the Jacksonville City Pool. According to Jacksonville Parks and Recreation Director Janis Burns, one minute the boy was playing with friends, and the next, he was at the bottom of the pool. Burns says lifeguards responded quickly, got the boy out of the water and performed CPR to resuscitate him.Burns says at last word, the boy was in stable condition. His name has not been released.
