A local emergency service is getting a new station. Oxford Emergency Medical Services is getting a second station in Bynum. The building is being repurposed by the City of Oxford. The substation will be open to the public for blood pressure checks and so that citizens can get to know the Oxford paramedics. Oxford EMS Director Ricky Howell says he couldn’t be more excited or proud. Howell says the group will hold a grand opening for the new station at the beginning of July. More details will be posted on their Facebook page. The substation is located at 2011 Bynum Boulevard, between the drug store and the post office.
