A camp for students who are interested in pursuing a career in healthcare kicks off at Gadsden State. East Central Alabama Area Health Education Center is hosting its second annual health careers enrichment program, Medi-Camp. The day camp helps high school sophomores, juniors and seniors in their quest to find the perfect career. The Medi-Camp provides a unique, hands-on and behind the science experience in healthcare. Southside High School Senior Brianna Yates says she has always wanted to be a nurse. The week-long camp is from 8am to 4pm each day. The camp is held on Gadsden State Campuses where students get an in-depth look into the different career paths that range from certificate programs to doctoral programs and everything in between.
