The Anniston Salvation Army has helped thousands of families in need for many years and now is asking for yours. The shelves in the Salvation Army’s pantry are nearly bare. Families in need come into the pantry three days a week to get a week’s worth of groceries. The number of people who depend on the Salvation Army’s generosity is only increasing. Major Corps Officer Eric Roberts says despite the hard times, they will continue to help those in need. Roberts says the most needed and useful items are peanut butter canned vegetables and meats, fresh produce and non-perishable foods. If you would like to help you can drop off your donations at 420 Noble Street in Anniston.
