Governor Declares State of Emergency

Governor Kay Ivey declares a State of Emergency in anticipation of severe weather moving through Alabama. The National Weather Service is forecasting significant flash flooding as tropical moisture moves northward into the state. Based on the forecast and prediction of the National Weather Service Offices for Alabama, residents should brace for widespread rain through Thursday. The State of Emergency will be in effect until the threat has passed.
