The U.S. Department of Labor has announced a one million dollar grant for Alabama workforce databases. The Workforce Data Quality Initiative, or WDQI grant is designed to connect educational and workforce databases from various Alabama agencies in order to create a single, unified database. The combined database will produce standardized reports on various workforce programs in the state, and should help consumers select the right workforce and training programs for them. Alabama is one of six states to receive this grant.
