High school football teams can begin practice in 35 days and the regular season opens in just 59 days, but the competition has already underway. On Tuesday afternoon Sylacauga, Alexandria and Cherokee County met at Wellborn High School for a 7-on-7 passing camp. The teams squared off against each other in helmets and shorts as they begin to fine tune things like timing and communication for the fall. The games serve as a small measuring stick where each team stands and helps to sharpen skills both individually and collectively.
