The Gadsden Museum of Art invites everyone to a reception for two new exhibits. For downtown Gadsden’s First Friday for July, the Museum welcomes the new installations, Much to Discuss by Mary Dunn and Dig Deep, Rise Up by Laurie Popp. The mixed media pieces by Mary Dunn are set to be on display for July and August. Her Much to Discuss features in-house murals and crochet pieces. Dunn says she is excited to be featured at the museum. Laurie Popp’s exhibit, Dig Deep, Rise up is a mixed media art installation featuring three-dimensional interactive works and fiber-based sculptures. Museum curator Ray Wetzel encourages everyone to stop by this Friday. The reception will be held during the First Friday festivities in downtown Gadsden starting tomorrow night at six PM. Exhibits are free and open to the public.
