Weaver’s Elwell Park has a new addition. The new pavilion will serve as a shaded food court during Heritage Day in September, and the rest of the year, it will offer a shady spot for parents while their children play at the playground. Weaver Mayor Wayne Willis says that without the new pavilion, there weren’t enough shaded areas for people to use. The pavilion may be reserved- free of charge by contacting the Weaver Meeting Center Staff. Mayor Willis also says that the next step in improving the park is adding another pavilion with barbeque grills.
