Boys and girls and Lowe’s came together today to improve the Charles A. Hamilton Boys and Girls Club in Anniston. As part of the Lowe’s Heroes program, the Oxford and Anniston Lowe’s stores donated labor and materials to build improvements for the local Boys and Girls Club. Anniston Lowe’s Assembly Director Steve Dalrymple says the project helps the community as a whole. It’s not just Lowe’s employees doing all the work, the kids in the club are also doing their share and building a pathway. Chief Professional Officer of the club, Johnny Byrd says that the work is important to the children’s growth. The project is expected to be finished later this week. The improvements include adding shrubbery around the club’s property. In addition to the supplies and labor, Lowe’s also donated seven computers for the club’s technology center.
