Former President of Local Company Sentenced for Embezzlement

A federal judge sentences the former president of the Communications Workers of America in Oxford to one year and a day in prison for embezzling from the organization. Lackey plead guilty to five counts of bank fraud, one count of embezzlement and theft of union funds. The judge ordered Lackey to repay $69,193 to the local and to forfeit the same amount to the government. He must report to prison on September 11.
