Regional Medical Center in Anniston cuts the ribbon on a new Orthopedic and Joint Center. RMC has renovated the orthopedic center and its patient rooms and group areas. The hospital also showcased its new Joint Coach program for joint replacement surgery. The program is designed to educate, assist, and support patients undergoing a joint replacement surgery. According to orthopedic surgeon Doctor Clinton Ray, recovery times for surgeries are getting much shorter thanks to the program. Dr. Ray also says the results at RMC are as good as any hospital in Birmingham, and even better than some. The renovation comes after RMC purchased Stringfellow Memorial Hospital in March, and opened a new facility in Oxford in April.
