Oxford Man Celebrates 101st Birthday

A local man is celebrating his 101st birthday today. Born in 1916, Cecil Lindley is a Air Force veteran and former Oxford High School teacher. He credits his health to growing up on a farm, eating good food, getting plenty of exercise, and having good genes. His father lived to be 102, and his mother lived to be nearly 90. Lindley says being 101 feels just the same as any other year. Lindley sings gospel music, and has even produced a few CDs. He is a resident at NHC in Anniston, where a party was thrown in honor of his birthday.
