The high school football season begins in ten days (Thursday, August 24). One team to keep an eye on is White Plains. The Wildcats went 0-10 last season but they have found a renewed energy in the football program. White Plains beat Pleasant Valley in the spring jamboree in May and head coach Chris White says it has helped rejuvenate the program. After that win, the Wildcats shifted their focus to the weight room where the team improved across the board in physical strength. They hope a successful season on the field will be the byproduct of all their hard work this offseason. (Hear from White Plains head coach Chris White in the featured video).
The Wildcats open the season Friday, September 1st at home against Ohatchee.
