The Department of Homeland Security announces a $25,000 grant for a Fire Department in Clay County. Homeland Security is giving the money to the Delta Volunteer Fire Department as part of the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program. Congressman Mike Rogers, who serves on the Committee on Homeland Security, says the grant money will help the fire department purchase new safety equipment. Earlier this week, Homeland Security announced grants for the Piedmont and Lineville Fire Departments totaling more than $900,000.
