JSU Enters Game Week For Season Opener

Tuesday, August 22, 2017

It’s game week at Jacksonville State, but players took a moment away from gameplanning and looked to the sky like millions of others around the country. The Gamecocks soaked in Monday's Great American Eclipse at Burgess-Snow Field. Soon after, it was back to business for a big week to start the 2017 season.

The Gamecocks will meet Chattanooga in Montgomery for the Guardian FCS Kickoff Game. It is a familiar matchup and one that has the makings of another great game. This is the 41st time the Mocs and Gamecocks have met on the gridiron. JSU has won the last four over UTC but the average margin of victory is just 3.75 points.

JSU and Chattanooga square off at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. on ESPN)
