Trio Arrested for Drugs, Paraphernalia, and a Gun

Authorities arrest three people after they find marijuana, scales, and a gun in a car. Jordan Beacraft, of Gadsden, Bailee Vervynckt, of Gadsden, and Joshua Miller, of Rainbow City, all face marijuana and paraphernalia charges. The Etowah County Sheriff’s Office says deputies and Glencoe Police officers set up a license checkpoint on Green Valley Road. There, Vervynckt pulled up to the checkpoint and rolled down his window. An officer noticed a strong marijuana odor coming from the car. A search found three jars filled with marijuana, digital scales, and a handgun. Beacraft and Miller were passengers in the car. All three were taken to the detention center where they posted bail.
