Large scale clean-up efforts are underway in Texas following the destruction of Hurricane Harvey. The Gadsden-Etowah County community is helping a city that hasn’t gotten much attention. The community is holding a supply drive for the city of Rosenberg, Texas. Rosenberg sits on the outskirts of Houston, and was hit hard by flooding in the wake of the Hurricane. Rosenburg is roughly the same size as Gadsden, and EMA Operations and Planning Specialist Josh Tanner says everyone wanted to help a city that wasn’t receiving much media attention. The Relief for Rosenberg drive will send supplies to the city this Friday. If you want to help out and donate supplies, the EMA is hosting a drive-through donation center at the Gadsden Mall on Wednesday. The EMA asks for school supplies, pet supplies, and cleaning supplies. You can see a full list of needed items on the EMA’s Facebook page.
