JSU Ready For Home Opener vs. Liberty

It has been an odd start to the season for JSU. The Gamecocks opened in a neutral site matchup August 26th against Chattanooga, followed by an off week. Then a road game at Georgia Tech and another off week. The Gamecocks will finally play at home this Saturday against No. 19 Liberty.

The two teams met last season in Virginia - a game JSU won 48-19. But a lot has changed for both schools. The Gamecocks are still finding their footing offensively. Meanwhile the Flames are lighting it up. Liberty is 3-0 with wins over Baylor and Morehead State and they are averaging 49 points a game. Head coach John Grass believes it can go a long way in preparing for the upcoming conference schedule.

JSU vs. Liberty can be seen LIVE on TV24 Saturday at 6:00 p.m. from JSU's Burgess-Snow Field
