New Scam in DeKalb County

Friday, September 29, 2017

The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office is warning of a new scam. The scam is a man claiming to be an Investigator or a Deputy with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. The man gives the names James Marshall or Jack Phillips. He tells his victims he has a warrant for failure to report for grand jury duty, but they can pay to have it removed. If you receive a call from someone using these names, be advised that it is a scam. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office will never call and demand money.
