Alabama Still Pushing for Execution of Inmate

Alabama still wants to execute an inmate whose execution was stayed last week by a federal appeals court. The Alabama Attorney General’s Office filed a request to the US Supreme Court to vacate the 11th US Circuit Court of Appeals’ order to stay the execution of Jeffery Borden. Borden has been on death row for 22 years. He was convicted of the murder of his wife, Cheryl Borden and her father, Roland Harris on Christmas Eve in 1993.
