A new management team is settling in at Cheaha State Park. Justin Howard is the new superintendent at Cheaha, and Callie Thornton will serve as assistant superintendent. Renee Raney is park operations supervisor and Mandy Pearson will continue her role as park naturalist. The new team is working on projects and plans to reinvigorate the park, which has faced challenges due to budget restraints. Raney explains some of the changes happening at the park. Alabama State Parks Director Greg Lein says the new team brings a new enthusiasm to the park and they are eager to see what improvements are in store.
