Multiple Drug Arrests in DeKalb County


DeKalb County Deputies make multiple arrests in separate drug cases.

During a traffic stop at County Road 562 and County Road 194, Deputies noticed a strong odor coming from Roy Wilkes’s vehicle. A search was conducted on Wilkes and his vehicle. As a result, deputies found marijuana, a meth pipe, and methamphetamine.

Deputies arrested Ricky Darwin at his home on Brandon Street in Sylvania. He was wanted on Failure to comply and trafficking in methamphetamine charges. Darwin is also charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies also made a traffic stop at County Road 505 and County Road 90 in Rainsville. Jason Morris was arrested on a Failure to pay warrant and is also charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Officers also recovered a stolen 4-wheeler that was in Morris's possession.

Deputies and Investigators went to a home on County Road 112 in Fort Payne to follow up on a few leads on a case. There, they found April Goforth, who had a warrant for a probation violation. They also found drugs in the home. Goforth is charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
