Gadsden Man Arrested in Connection with Hotel Murder Case

A wanted Gadsden man is behind bars in connection to a murder earlier this week. Bruce Macon was taken into custody just after 10:30 Wednesday night. Gadsden police have charged Macon with murder in the death of 28-year-old Derick Parham.

Parham was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at a hotel in the 200 block of North Albert Rains Boulevard. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Officers also discovered a second victim, a 23-year-old woman, who left the scene after the shooting. She is being treated for non-life threatening injuries in a local hospital.

Macon is being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.
