9th Annual "A Walk Through Time" to be Held in Gadsden
An annual walk through the history of Gadsden will have people strolling through a cemetery. The ninth annual “A Walk through Time” spotlights local citizens dressing up and portraying historic figures at Forrest Cemetery. Coordinator Puddin McArthur says there are 11 new characters portrayed during the walk.
To honor Alabama’s soon to be 200th anniversary as a state, a timeline feature is being added to the walk. It will show historic events from every 50 years since Alabama became a territory in 1817. The walk is set for Sunday afternoon at Forrest Cemetery in Gadsden.
