Jacksonville State University is inching closer to having a new wellness center for students. JSU held a trustees meeting today where members discussed the fitness and wellness center.
The building will be located in the open lawn next to Stephenson Hall. University Advancement Vice President and JSU Foundation Executive Director Charles Lewis says the facility is going to help bring more students to Jacksonville.
JSU trustee members celebrated the groundbreaking of the new wellness center last month. The fitness center will be two stories with a 40 foot climbing wall, indoor track, indoor swimming pool, three gyms, juice bar and more. The fitness and wellness center is scheduled to open in January 2019.
