A missing Altoona man’s body is found along with his wrecked SUV. Alexander Messier was reported missing by family members. He was last seen around 10pm Friday asleep in his Chevrolet Blazer outside Jemison Dempsy Steel Plant, where he worked.
Messier’s body was found near the wrecked SUV off Highway 278 West. Alabama State Troopers were notified and discovered Messier died as a result of the crash. Messier was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the SUV when it left the road and overturned in a ravine.
State Troopers believe the crash happened at 11pm Friday, three miles North of Attalla.
