Jacksonville City City School System May Lower Graduation Requirement

Thursday, October 26, 2017

The Jacksonville City school system could see some changes in the number of credits needed to graduate. A Jacksonville High School student currently needs 26 credit hours to graduate. A change could drop those credits down to 24.

The Jacksonville Board of Education is scheduled to discuss the graduation policy next month during a regular meeting. A report from the Alabama Department of Education shows that Jacksonville had a 93-percent graduation rate in 2016.
