"Even After October My Life Matters" Program Pushes Year-round Awareness

Everyone knows October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but what about the other eleven months out of the year? One organization has a program that keeps the awareness going. Alabama Extension has created a program called “Even After October My Life Matters”.

This program provides workshops with the intention of increasing education about cancer. The workshop sessions include discussions of breast cancer myths and facts, food choices, breast changes, and breast health basics. The workshops are for women and men of all ages and ethnicities. Alabama Extension Human Nutritionist Diet and Health Regional Extension Educator, Sheree Taylor says this program is for everyone.

Taylor also says the session can be given anywhere, anytime and at any place. If you are interested in getting more information you can contact Alabama Extension at their office by calling or sending an email with the information on your screen.
