Hunter Airlifted For Treatment After Falling Off Tree Stand


A hunter was airlifted for treatment after falling from a tree stand early Sunday morning in Cherokee County. Piedmont Rescue Squad and Spring Garden Volunteer Fire Department brought the man out of the isolated wooded area using four-wheelers.

He was taken to a landing zone at Spring Garden School. The man was flown to treatment by Life Flight. The accident happened in the area of County Road 33 and 172 around 7:15am. Early reports say the man possibly suffers from two broken legs and a serious back injury.
