Plumbing Company Closed by Court Order

Attorney General Steve Marshall announces that a plumbing company called Plumbing 911, has been permanently closed by court order. The Attorney General says that owner Tony Gowins, of Talladega, must surrender his State license and never work in the plumbing and gas industry again, in the state of Alabama.

The closure comes after the Attorney General’s Consumer Interest Division recieved numerous complaints about overpricing and substandard work. An investigation revealed a number of violations. The company has been ordered to pay more than $120,000 in compensation to customers.
