Two men are behind bars in connection to a recent burglary. Tony Putman and Christopher Whatley are accused of breaking into a home on Fitts Ferry Road, in Gadsden, and stealing several guns and prescription medication.

Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin says law enforcement executed a search warrant on the home where the two men were staying and found the medication, with the victim’s name, along with other items taken in the burglary.

Putman and Whatley were taken to the Etowah County Detention Center and are being held on a $20,000 bond each. Along with the burglary charges, Whatley is also facing charges in connection to a recent burglary and theft at a home on Highway 411. He told investigators that he stole a laptop and two Xbox gaming systems.
