Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Participating in No-Shave November

Friday, November 3, 2017

Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver says his office will participate in this month’s “No-Shave November” and proceeds will benefit the Cherokee County Children’s Advocacy Center and Relay for Life.

Sheriff’s Office employees are raising money to help victims of child abuse and cancer by putting away their razors and growing facial hair during the month of November. Sheriff Shaver says he will allow employees to grow facial hair outside the normal standards for the month in exchange for a $25 donation. The money will be used to help fund counseling and interviews for children who have been abused; and to battle cancer.
