Allegations of sexual misconduct continue to mount against Republican U.S. Senate candidate Judge Roy Moore of Etowah County.Today, a fifth woman came forward, accusing Moore of making sexual advance against her decades ago when she was just 16 years old.
Beverly Nelson, who you see on your screen, said during a news conference in New York today that Moore, who was the District Attorney in Etowah County at the time, was giving her a ride home from a restaurant where she worked when the incident happened. Nelson claimed Moore pulled over in a dark alley behind the restaurant and began to touch her inappropriately.
Moore has denied the charges as well as similar ones from four other women over the past week.Today, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell called for Moore to drop out of Alabama’s special election for the U.S. Senate. Moore fired back on Twitter saying, "The person who should step aside is Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. He has failed conservatives and must be replaced."
