Two separate theft cases have two men behind bars with one leading police on a chase. Investigators say Jonah Walker stole a vehicle form the Circle K gas station on Rainbow Drive in Gadsden.

He told investigators that he got into the driver’s seat and drove off without permission. The vehicle was recovered and Walker is being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.

Another investigator says Jimmy Green stole a .38 Special handgun, a Smith and Wesson Body Guard knife, an Asus laptop and about $200 from a home on Walker Mountain Road in Gadsden. When the investigator found him, Green was at a home on Ewing Avenue. He refused to get out of the car and took off.

Deputies and the investigator were able to safely stop the pursuit. Green is charged with theft of property, possession of a pistol by a felon and attempting to elude. He is being held at the Etowah County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.
