After an extended rest period, the Jacksonville State football team is ready to begin the march that they hope ends in Frisco, Texas in January's FCS national championship. The Gamecocks are the No. 3 national seed and will host Kennesaw State in the second round Saturday at 1:00 p.m. The Owls are just in year three of the program and picked up their first playoff win in the first round against Samford last week.

The Owls have won 11 straight games and they are doing it with an impressive offense. KSU runs the triple option and posted 329 rushing yards on the Bulldogs. The Gamecock defense is familiar with that style from their September matchup with Georgia Tech.
