Local Library Collecting Donations for Families in Need

Tuesday, December 5, 2017

A local library collects donations for families in need. As a community project, the Anniston-Calhoun County Public Library is collecting individually wrapped snacks, underwear, socks, and other essentials for the homeless during the colder months.

They call the project “Christmas Caring.” The library will donate the items to charities in Calhoun County. Anniston- Calhoun County Public Library Director Teresa Kiser tells us why the library is hosting this event.

Kiser says the library will collect the items until the middle of January. Anyone can take a donation to the library during their regular business hours. They are open Monday through Friday 8:30am to 6pm and Saturday and Sunday 1:30pm to 5:30pm.
