Anniston Library Making Use of Old Books

A library creates something new out of old and unused books. The Anniston-Calhoun County Public Library held a Christmas Tree Book Art event today. People from all over used old books to create Christmas trees. People took 200 pages of the books and folded each page to create a tree and then decorated the top with a bell. Anniston local Donna LePrell says the trees make wonderful gifts.

LePrell also says she and her grandmother have taken several different classes at the library. She says it’s a fun way to get involved and make something new. The Anniston-Calhoun County Public Library is hosting many events throughout the month of December including: ornament weaving, book club, and craft day for kids.
