A career expo with a variety of career opportunities and hands on experience hosts a kick off agenda for the upcoming year. The Worlds of Work held their annual event kick off for school counselors, principals, and superintendents to see what the organization has planned for the 2018 school year.

Worlds of Work hosts an event in March for students, in several different counties, to come and get hands on experience for different jobs. Worlds of Work Committee Chair Carol Kirk says it’s a great way to help students figure out what they want to do after they graduate.

Kirk says they are expecting to have more than six-thousand students participate in the event. 8th graders will visit during the morning hours followed by 11th and 12th grade students. All students that attend will have the opportunity to talk with a career coach and school counselors about specific fields they might like to get into.
