Gadsden-Etowah EMA Collecting Winter Clothes

Thursday, January 4, 2018

With the temperatures cold and expected to drop even more, one group is collecting coats and other essentials for staying warm. The Gadsden-Etowah County Emergency Management Agency is asking people from the area to donate warm clothes.

They are looking for thick socks, gloves, hats, coats, jackets and other clothing that will keep someone warm during these cold winter temperatures. Public Information Officer Breonna Cole says every little bit helps.

Cole says they aren’t sure how long they will be collecting the clothes. There are bins located just inside the EMA building. Cole also reminds everyone in the Gadsden-Etowah areas to stay updated on weather alerts through their social media pages.
