Glenn Murdock to Step Down from Alabama Supreme Court

Justice Glenn Murdock announces plans to step down from the Alabama Supreme Court. Murdock submitted his resignation letter to Governor Kay Ivey earlier today. In the letter, Murdock states that he has no doubt he has been where the Lord wanted him to be for the past 17 years. 

 

Murdock was elected in 2006 and 2012 to the Supreme Court. Murdock’s resignation will take effect on January 16th. Governor Ivey will appoint someone to the court to fill the remainder of Murdock’s term.
