Gadsden Teen Facing Capital Murder Charges

One teen faces Capital Murder charges in connection to the death of another teen. Gadsden Police Sergeant John Hallman says Tyler Abbott shot Aaron Huff on January 4th. Authorities say the two teens knew each other and had met in a nearby parking lot just before the shooting.

Police say there was an altercation, but each left in different vehicles. Sergeant Hallman says the two vehicles stopped at an intersection. Abbott got out of the vehicle, went up to the vehicle Huff was in and shot him. The driver of the vehicle Huff was in drove him to Gadsden Regional Medical Center where he later died. Abbott is being held in the Etowah County Detention Center with no bond.
