Three Georgia Residents Charged with Drug Possession in Cherokee County

Three Georgia residents are behind bars in connection to illegal drug possession and a stolen vehicle. Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver says he noticed Steven Freeman, Lamon Jones and Jennifer Mullins acting suspiciously inside the Wendy’s restaurant in Centre around noon Tuesday. 

 

During a traffic stop, Sheriff’s Office investigators took a firearm from Freeman and found methamphetamine and marijuana inside the truck. Investigators also discovered the three were traveling in a stolen truck from Georgia. 

 

All three suspects are charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Freeman also faces charges in Georgia.
